Welcome to Chloe's Candyland!

Better late than never, I am finally getting around to posting about Chloe's fabulous 1st birthday party! Thank you to everybody who attended and a BIG THANKS to my family and friends who helped make this party possible! You know who you are, haha. Lets just say the candyland path that started at the bottom of the driveway leading to the back yard was a 1/2 day project, and without Robin and Tif, I do not know how it would have got done!!

The kids followed the candyland path to a cotton candy machine, snow cone machine, candy buffet, kids buffet, bounce house, swing set, etc, etc. Every kids dream came to life at Chloe's majical party. Now on to planning her 2nd birthday, haha.

The pictures are out of order, but I just do not have the time to sit here and play with it any longer. So, here are some pics from Chloe's special day!

Writing this post brings a tear to my eye. My good friends Vanessa and Holly had there babies within weeks of Chloe. We have had so much fun getting the little ones together over the last year. All three are approaching their first birthday's which is so surreal to me. We have had so much fun watching the kids grow and play together. Looking forward to many play dates in the future!

River rat, or shall we say river Diva

Chloe helped mommy celebrate her birthday with a trip out to Laughlin! Chloe had her very first boat ride and she did great. She loved the water and hanging out on the shore. We were so excited to take her out on the lake, but we were also very nervous. It all worked out great though. We will probably not be going this summer due to the heat, so I am glad we got to enjoy the nice spring weather of 78 degrees. It was a perfect birthday weekend with my family!

Don't worry CPS. I literally took her bathing suit cover off for a second so we could get a picture of her in her bathing suit, lol. No sun burns for this baby!

We are family!

My sister and her husband recently moved to New Mexico for a job promotion, which prompted a family photo shoot before their departure. My mom did a great job of getting us all together on such short notice, and now we have amazing family photos! I miss my sis already, but I am so happy they are doing so well out there! Here are some of my fave pics from the shoot!

In other Salmon news, Chloe has been a busy little bee. She is pulling herself up on everything, and can even stand on her own without holding on to anything (at least for a second, haha), it’s just a matter of time before she starts walking. She enjoyed her very first Easter at Grandma and Grandpa Grable's house. She even hunted Easter eggs that mommy and daddy dyed!

This past weekend Chloe was FINALLY able to dawn her new bathing suit ensemble (it has been in her closet for a couple of months now) and take a dip in her Auntie Dianna’s pool. The water was freezing, but Chloe did not seem to mind. I think she liked it!! We are taking her on her very first river trip for mommy’s birthday in 2 weeks. I cannot wait to see how she does on the boat and in the water. Pictures to come!!

As for David and I, we are trucking along in our careers. Thankfully with all of the pink slips issued, David has once again managed to stay clear from them! I just completed training for my new position and I am very thankful it is over! We are putting in a patio cover in the next couple of weeks in preparation for the big 1st birthday party! We are looking forward to our trip to Laughlin for my birthday and that's about it for now. Stay tuned for Chloe's first river pics!!
