Wheew.. I survived another round of layoffs!

Working for the worlds most hated company in America, AIG, has definitely taken it's toll on me these days. Today especially was a very scary and uneasy day. My company laid off a total of 600 employees, with 122 of them in California. They shut down another office in California as well. My heart goes out to everybody who lost their job today, however, I am very happy to announce that I have survived the lay offs once again. We were told that this should be the last round of layoffs as they would not be able to operate with out those of us who are left. We have heard this before, but I am very hopeful that we have seen the worst. I am being relocated to Ontario on Friday, but I am very thankful to still have a job (Baby Salmon and Hubby are thankful too!!)!

At last the Salmons have a blog

Thanks to my very creative and persistent friend Heidi, I am officially apart of the blogging community!! I am soo excited to share the Salmon journey with all of our great family and friends. With a baby on the way, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to start blogging away!
David and I are extremely excited to be 6 months pregnant with our baby girl Chloe, and yes, daddy is very proud that he picked the name (I'll give you some credit too Heidi). After a very long 2 years of trying, we are beyond excited and still in shock that this is actually happening. My pregnancy has been great, with the exception of the sleepless nights. I am not complaining though, I am one of those crazy girls that LOVES being pregnant! However, I do get scared a lot. I fear that if I don't feel her kick for a while something may be wrong, and I get very scared at every doctors appointment. I am completely 100% paranoid. I really hope these are just natural mommy fears, although David and my mom think I am crazy, literally.

David and I have been very busy preparing for our little arrival. Our major project right now is the nursery. It is completely under construction but I want to share some pictures of the disastrous state it is currently in. Check back next week for some updated pics. David is going to get very busy this week!

Before

James, Valerie's husband, hard at work!

So now it just needs two more layers of white, then David can get in there and paint the walls pink!!

Thanks again Heidi for making our blog BEAUTIFUL!! Your the best! Check back next week for an updated pregnancy photo of yours truly, as well as new nursery pics!
