Chloe's Amazing Shower

Chloe has been showered with so much love it is unbelievable! Special thanks to my mom, Courtney, Dianna, Lori, Ginger, LeeAnn, Valerie, and Brandee for making my baby shower a dream come true. Everything was beyond beautiful and more than I would have ever imagined. Thank you to everybody who attended (and sent gifts), we are truly blessed to have such great family and friends! Thank you for spoiling our little princess Chloe (I know she will enjoy being the best dress baby in Cali)!! Here are some photos of our special day.

David's love of sports is going to rub off on our daughter. Chargers Jersey, the middle outfit has a baseball on it, and a USC bib and burper. Oh, and I forgot to add the red and white angel's tutu and baseball barretts to this pic, sorry Heidi!

Auntie Robin hooked us up with Alpha Phi gear.

They did such a beautiful job with the decor!

Almost Done!!

With 8 weeks left before our little arrival, I am proud to say the nursery is nearing completion. The shelves and curtain are hung, the Chloe letters are perfectly in place, the mobile is hanging, and my "you are a dream come true" lettering is on the wall at last. We still have a couple of minor things to do, but the hard part is definitely done!! I absolutely LOVE the way it is coming out.

The empty space is where the rocker will go.

It was so hard to get a good picture of this due to the lighting and the fact that my camera is on it's way out.

SLACKER!

Okay, I know I have been slacking on updating my blog. I have so much to talk about and share I have just been so busy. This weekend I am headed off to Palm Springs for my sisters Bachelorette party. I am so excited to get away and soak up the sun (and yes, I bought a maternity bathing suit, YIKES!). We are staying in a huge suite at a really trendy hotel in down town Palm Springs, walking distance to everything. I am really looking forward to this weekend.

I got all of the baby bedding in for the nursery and cannot be happier with it. As soon as I get back I will post some updated pictures! David is working hard on the lawn, haha, as always (It looks beautiful babe) and the nursery. He put up shelves, hung curtain rods, etc, etc. He is doing such a great job on everything. I think he likes staying so busy on the weekends.

We are currently looking to buy a new car for mommy and Chloe (to bad I am not going on the Ellen show with Holly, haha). We are putting my little 2 door Honda up for sale and moving on to bigger and better. We have it narrowed down to three cars. The Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, and yes, the Lexus RX (I don't think David will cave on this one though, but I did get to test drive it!). We are just looking at the medium SUV's, all with V6, not V8. We already have a V8 and with the gas prices, we just cannot have two V8'S! We are taking our time deciding and looking for good deals, so who knows when my new ride will appear in my driveway.

Stay tuned for more photos in the near future....

Maternity Pics and More...

Well, it has been very busy the last couple of weeks and I am very excited to finally have a chance to post. I have been very occupied planning my sisters bridal shower that was held at my house yesterday. It was a great success, but I'll tell ya, it is a lot harder throwing a party when you are 7 months prego! Thanks to all of the help, especially from my mom, it turned out fabulous. Unfortunately I do not have pics of the event yet as I did not take any from my camera. As soon as they are sent my way, I will definitely share!

Last weekend my Aunt Sandy came over to our house and took some fabulous maternity pictures for us! She did a great job and we are very excited to share them with everybody. Please read this disclaimer before viewing the photos; my belly is HUGE!!

Lily had to jump in every shot she possibly could

Chloe's ultra sound pic is in the backgroundIn Chloe's nursery

Just had to throw this one in because she is just too cute!

Again, my belly is HUGE!!

So, here is quick update on the nursery. The furniture is in and the construction is complete, now it's just time to decorate. The original plan was that my mom was going to make all of the crib bedding for us. Apparently I am very picky, and I could not find anything out there that I liked. So my mom graciously volunteered to help make my vision come to life. We found the perfect fabric online (or so we thought), and had everything designed exactly to my liking. The fabric sample came in and it is way to thick for my precious little baby (think hotel curtain thick). So, we are back to square one, searching for bedding again. I think I am getting close in narrowing down my decision, stay tuned! Here are a couple of pics of the furniture, keep in mind that we do not have a crib mattress yet.

Nursery Construction Complete

After a very long couple of weeks, I am very excited to announce that the nursery construction is complete! I love it so much I just stand at the door and stare for what seems like hours. I can only imagine how it's going to look once the furniture is in (which should be tomorrow, keep your fingers crossed!). David has worked so hard this past week, giving up his spring break to give me the nursery of my dreams (and Chloe's dreams too!). He did such a wonderful job and hardly complained at all, shocking huh? As soon as the crib furniture is put together, I will continue to post pictures to show our progress. Bring on the decorating!!

Just a reminder of how the room looked before

Proud daddy painting his little girls room! (He did a great job by the way)
All ready for the furniture!!
